Is It Normal To Have Period Heavier And Earlier While Taking Lo Loestrin Fe?

hello, I am currently taking Lo Loestrin Fe and have been on it for about two months. My periods are starting earlier than usual and are lasting longer, my current period has been going on for the eighth day today. There is also a heavier amount of bleeding, just checking if normal or not?

Hi,
Whenever you are on hormonal treatment, it is usual to see menstrual disturbances for the initial couple of months as the body takes time to adjust to the new hormone status. Things settle down in 2-3 months. If the disturbance does not show any improvement, you must see a specialist for a proper clinical evaluation and to see if there is any coagulation or vascular complication secondary to the pill usage; liver function also should then be assessed. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
