Is It Normal To Have Giddiness In A Diabetic Person??

Hi am 35 yr old woman diagnosed with diabetes ... The doctor has prescribed me metformin 500 mg .... Am taking it since 31-1-14 But still there are sugar flactuations. And my fasting sugar is 190! And am feeling giddines shaky sometimes especially after lunch. Is it normal to feel giddiness? How long will it take to become my sugar level normal

Hi Mam, after going through your query i have understood your concern.

Its very initial stages after getting diagnosed with diabetes, it takes some time to get adjusted with the dose of drugs.
Follow strict low calorie diet and physical activity like walking for atleast 20 minutes a day.
and coming to giddiness, its normal when sugar levels are not under control.
what you need to do is get blood sugar levels checked every month until its under control and then follow the same dose of drug and physical activity.
