Hello and welcome to HCM,
Heart attack and collection of fluid in body can co-exist and they are suggestive of ischemic heart disease and compromised heart function.
Implying that the blood supply to heart muscles is compromised and the pumping action of the heart is also sub-normal.
Ischemic heart disease or decreased blood supply to heart muscles can be the cause of poor pumping action of heart.
Furosemide will clear the fluid collecting in the body, however, if the compromised state persists, the drug may also be not be able to clear the fluid.
You need to stay in touch with your cardiologist for best possible management.

Thanks and take care
