Is It Normal To Have Cylindrical Power At The Age Of Five?

Hi Doc, My doctor is diagnosed with Cyliderical Power in both eyes , 1 for both eyes. Is it normal to have this at age of 5. Will the power increase from here, or there is a chance this can disappear with age with good nutrition and eye care. Best Regards, Sumit

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that your son is having refractive error with cylindrical power of 1 diopters.
This is commonly seen in this age group hence no need to worry.
He needs to wear glasses regularly and need to attend follow up once in a year.
The refractive power will increase in this age and it will not decrease.
A diet rich in Vitamin A is helpful for healthy eyes.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
With regards
Dr. Dadapeer K
