Is It Normal To Have A Lump On The Surgical Site Near The Eye?

I had a Meibomian cyst removed from my eye a few days ago and it looks like there is still a lump there could this just be the swelling from the operation or is the cyst still there, just wanted to know if its common for a lump to still be there for a while?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Lump/swelling for 2-3wks is common provided cyst has been completely removed.
Cysts are notorious for recurrence, even if small bit of it is left behind.

Give hot fomentation for twice a day to affected lid. Inflammatory swelling resolve off.
