Is it normal to choke after vomiting in pregnancy ?

I m 10 weeks pregnant , and I vomited what felt like pure acid. In between vomiting and after wards for about a whole minute, it felt as if my airway was blocked and that I was choking. I Slapped my chest and tried to cough and neither worked. I waited it out and eventually I was able to breathe again. Of course I had a panic attack after this. Is that normal? Should I seek more immediate medical attention? (seem to be breathing fine now) I m a healthy 24 year old female 5 6 and 120 lbs
