Is It An STD If Having A Red Patch On Penis Which Itches And Burns?

A few days ago I shave some of my pubic hairs, some on my penis...a day later it starting hitching which I expected but a small red patch appeared on the head of my penis and white stuff two days later around the head not all around and not smelly or a lot. My issues is I also had a one night stand a week ago no penetration but rubbing etc... I have check online std/ sti pictures and cannot find anything that can relate. It doesn t hurt when I pee, it itches and burn mostly....have I got std?

Thank you for query.the pubic part due to hair trimming may be folliculitis .please use topical antibiotics like fucidin or silverex daily till it subsides.You wear loose cotton clothes.do not trim hair too short.see that there is no friction or irritation.You can use analgesics like brufen if needed.
the penile part of symptoms may be due to fungal infection.Please take following precautions.Use loose cotton clothes.Keep area dry.Apply antifungals like clotirimazole.clean the area twice daily with warm water.oral antifungals like flucanazole 150 mg weekly once can be taken.
Consult doctor if does not subside else You can get back directly to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist.
