Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am now on wellbutrin(for a couplie of years- 450mgs) and have switched from cymbalta to pristiq (100 mgs.) It has been about 6 weeks and I am told ( and it s true) that I am VERY EDGY and irritable all the time. Is this a side effetct? I feel out of control.
From your description, I believe you are a patient of bipolar disorder. Increased irritability and dizziness are side effects of Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) which can be slightly reduced by using Effexor (venlafaxine). There are several alternatives that you can have in consultation with your doctor. You don't need to be edgy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
