Is Iron Infusion Therapy An Effective Treatment For Anemia While Having Iron Intolerance?

I.have iron deficient anemia....have had various tests showing no blood loss...I cannot tolerate iron pills....now getting iron through infusion therapy every six months I seem to be responding to this procedure very we... Your comments, please. thanks

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If there was no evidence of blood loss then the decrease in iron levels may have been related to low iron in the diet.

Dietary lack of iron can also cause iron deficient anemia.

You may need to take a look at the foods that you use to see if any adjustment can be made.

If you wish your doctor can refer you to a nutritionist for assessment and advice.
