Is Having Angioplasty With Two Stents In Artery At The Age Of 20 A Cause For Concern?

Hi My age is 20 years I had gone angioplasty on 19th march with 2 stents in 1 artery I have a very strong family history I want to know that is angioplasty gud in this age? One more thing I am having constipation prob from 3-4 days so what should be done for this Regards

Hi,
As you have significant is strong family history of ? heart disease.
Angioplasty usually done for significant blockages in blood vessels.
So if there is significant blockage it needs to be cleared and with age of 20years angioplasty is one of the best option.
So you should not think unnecessarily whether angioplasty good or bad, it is done because it is really required.

I will advise you to -
1) Strict compliance with your medicines prescribed (anti-platelets and/or anticoagulant, lipid lowering medicines and other possible medicine for blood pressure or Diabetes if any)
2) Avoid spicy, oily food, increase intake of fruits and vegetables.
3) Regular exercise.
4) Meditation and relaxation techniques for stress if any.
5) Regular check up for Blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels and keep it under control.
