Is frequent chest discomfort related to anxiety?

would a mildly sharp pain that lasted approximately ten seconds , at am wake up , followed by a feeling of need for additional sleep for two more hours and a very mild tightness of chest and tiredness for the following seven and one half hours , possibly not be a cardiac event but rather ,a constriction of blood vessels brought on by a years long period of intense anxiety and very frequent anxious dreams ?

Hello,

Frequent chest tightness and pain can be attributable to anxiety and psycho-somatic pain disorder. But you need to get yourself checked for heart-related issues first.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
