Is Ear Piercing Safe During Chemotherapy Treatment?

I am a 44 yr old female and am in my 21st week of a 28 week Lapatinib (oral chemo drug) as part of the treatment I am receiving for breast cancer. My WBC has remained in or very near the normal range during both the IV portion of my chemo treatment, as well as throughout this 28 wk stint on the oral drug. I am wondering about the wisdom of getting a single piercing in one ear while still undergoing chemo. With my WBC holding steady and stable, should it be much of a problem to go ahead with the piercing?
