Is Diarrhoea And Fever Normal After Taking Milk Of Magnesia?

I have constipation and took a whole bottle of magnesium citrate yesterday and nothing happens so today I took several doses of milk of magnesia and started having watery diarrhea now I feel I have a fever and headache is this normal? Should I go to the er?

You are taking large dose of magnesium that cause watery diarrhea. Any bacterial or viral infection cause fever.Magnesium act as a laxatives only.

Content a gastroenterologist for further treatment.
Do a blood test for further diagnosis.
If needed than stool examination test can done.

Try to rehydrate your body by taking more water and energetic drink.

Proper physical examination and history give exact idea .
