Is Dialysis Necessary With Creatinine Level 3.1 And GFR 13.5?

My mother is 84 years old with chronic diabetes and hypertension. She also has PAD and a pacemaker for sinus bradycardia. Her creatinine is 3.1 and GFR 13.5. Her dr has asked to think about dialysis over the next 6 weeks and let him know what she has decided. I am a nurse and really feel that dialysis would be too hard on her body. Any advice?
