if my nephew has Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (adrenal crisis at a few weeks old) and i have been told i had PCOS only due to some symptoms but no blood work or ultrasound showing positative, what are the chances of me having Late on set CAH instead of PCOS. I have heard of this being a common disdiagnosis. I am a 28 year old female. started menses at 13 (only spotting twice a year for 3 years) then put on diane 35 at 16 for acne and regulating cycle. 5'7" 150 lbs. still slightlirreglar and very oily skin with some break outs. i get night night sweats and heat up at night. one kidney is smaller than the other and i have 2 ureters coming from 1 kidney for a total of 3.
