Is Chewing Of 325 Mg Aspirin Pills Harmful?

I just spoke with someone from the poison hotline. I accidentally took 1000 mg of uncoated aspirin for chest pain 90 min ago....but it was actually heartburn from a red pepper I ate earlier. It felt like chest pain so I chewed on three 325 mg aspirin pills, thinking the pills were fewer mg each. The woman from the hotline advised I eat some crackers to dilute the acidity. Otherwise, nothing to worry about. I m simply following up here.

Aspirin is an acidic drug..It has anti-inflammatory and antiplatelet aggregation properties.This much of dose is not that harmful.You can use alkaline liquids or substances to neutralize the acidic effect.Drink plenty of water.If any symptom arise then you should go to hospital..
