Is Abdomen Pain With Shortness Of Breath Normal During Pregnancy?

I am 30years old. 27 weeks pregnant with my second child. The past few days I have felt very weird. Started with a lot of lower back pain and lots of presure in my lower abdonmen. Couldnt really feel a lot of fetal movement from my baby the past few days. Now I wake up short of breath and with a rapid heart beat and feeling very lite headed. Have never felt these symptoms prior.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Lower back pain and the initial symptoms are all normal during pregnancy. As for abdomen tightness and shortness of breath, these are also normally encountered in pregnancy due to the pressure the growing uterus applies on the chest cavity and in turn on the lungs. Although I would still recommend a visit to your doctor to make sure all is well as you complained about not being able to feel the fetal movements.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
