Is A Swollen, Hard Cyst Around The Labia Minora Indicative Of Abscess?

Hello, I had a small hard cyst-like the size of a pea on around the left labia minora area, and this morning when I got up it was as though it had broken or something. Now it s very swollen and I m uncomfortable. I ve had a warm salt bath but I m very uncomfortable. Could it be an abscess, a cyst? Worried. Is there immediate danger? I will go to the emergency department tomorrow after 2 pm but like I said I m worried

Hi thanks for asking question.

Examination of that swelling done to decide whether it is abscess or cyst.
If pus collection and pus excruding from it and if pain is present then it could be abscess.

Antibiotic taken for abscess.
Ibuprofen like antiinflammatory drug taken..
If abscess not resolving incision and drainage done with dressing...

So examination needed by doctor for your swelling ...it could be simple cystic swelling also.
Take care
