Is A Small Redish Bump On Lower Abdomen Indicative Of A Hernia?

I have a small redish bump in the middle of my lower abdomen. At first it was pin only when I touched it, but now it s more of giving me a tingling sensation when I sit down or bend rather than bad pain. Not sexually active, but I woke up the next day with this after a day of lifting and playing basketball. Can it be a hernia although it s in the middle because I m very worried. If so, how long is the recovery time

Hi,

If you do not want to take medicines, there are certain tips that you can use to feel good again.

- Take a break from your day-to-day routine if you have not taken one in a long time. Doing something else for some time will give you good change.

- Try to incorporate exercise in your routine. Go for long walk or bike riding or join a gym. Exercise will induce more endorphins in your body which will help to elevate your mood and energy levels.

- Probably you may not like to go out and meet friends in this phase but try to push yourself to do so. It will give you good boost up. Arrange lunch/dinner with your friends or relatives or go for a movie or shopping.

- Call a long lost friend and catch up. You will see how happy that makes you.

- You can also try to indulge more in your hobbies like cooking, reading, writing, knitting etc. Join a class if you feel to get more skills and to become involved in something new for a change.

- You can also join yoga or meditation classes. The exercises there will help to relax body and mind and will instigate new positive energy in you.

- Try to stay away from negativity. Do not stay idle for long time. Keep yourself busy with something all the time. Try to read positive books and think positively even though it takes an effort.

I hope this information is useful. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you get out of this low phase soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
