Is A Gestational Sac And A Yolk Sac Without A Baby A Cause For Concern?
I had my 1st early transvaginal ultrasound LMP 6-15-2017 Geststional sac single location intrauterine contour smooth diameter 7.4mm =4-5weeks decidualization well defined Yolc sac diameter 2.2mm fetus not seen at time of scan Crl= G.S diameter= FHB rate = No subchronic hemmorage Normal ovaries Are this normal at 5weeks 2days the sonologist said there s gestational sac and yolk sac no baby yet
After going through your query I understand your concern.
I would like to tell you that this sonography report is saying you have normal size gestational sac present in the uterus that is a sign of early pregnancy. Ma'am it takes time for an embryo to get mature into a fetus. By the end of first trimester all body parts will be present that you can see in the follow up sonography.
It's advisable for you to stay stress free, eat healthy and personally consult with a Gynaecologist for future follow ups and healthy pregnancy .
Hopefully this will answer your query.
Kind Regards Dr. Navneet Mahajan
