Is A Quantitative Blood Test 26 Days After Unprotected Sex Definitive?

Dear Doctors, I had sex (didn t ejaculate inside) with my boyfriend at 12/4 (26 days before I had Beta HCG test), and my last period was at 30/3. I did a Beta HCG test at 8/5 and it came up negative with <1.2mIu. Update!!!! Thank you for the answer Doctor. I want to confirm with one more question, is 26 days after unprotected sex enough time for a blood pregnancy test to be definitive? If I have a negative quantitative blood test 6 days after she had her period like normal bleeding, does it mean that I am DEFINITELY not pregnant?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
The chances of pregnancy are rare in your case because your Beta HCG test is negative. No with period chances of pregnancy are rare but in some pregnancy period occur with pregnancy also.
You can consult a gynaecologist for ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy.
Good luck.
Take care.
