General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Valance is primarily used to treat mood disorders, seizures, manic-depressive disorders, etc. The neurologist should have conducted an array of tests like an MRI or CT scan of your head, an X-ray PNS, blood panels, etc.

If this was conducted then the cause should have been found, but if it wasn't, this makes the patient vulnerable to depression and so on due to the constant pain. Probably this is why you were prescribed valance, but you can request for vertin (betahistine) 8-16 mg to help deal with your vertigo symptom as well.

Best wishes.
