Is Symbicort Inhaler Advisable For A COPD Patient?
Hi my name is Renee, I just found out from my Dr that I have mild COPD and he put me on a symbiocort inhaler. Am I safe to take this with this condition. I don t take no medicine at all. This is all I take. Will this steroid help me or harm me. I c him back in March. Thanks.
It will definitely improve your condition. They are having bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory action as a steroid. It is having so many side effect but in systemic administration not the local as we are using an inhaler just for prevention. You have to increase oral hygiene because during inhaler drug may stay in the mouth and secondary fungal infection can occur.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
