I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes Rotavirus vaccination is advisable for an infant. It is used to protect against rotavirus infections which are the leading cause of severe diarrhea among young children. The vaccines thereby decrease the risk of death among young children due to diarrhea. There is clear evidence of positive effect of this vaccine on child's health. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended that rotavirus vaccine to be included in routine vaccinations especially in areas where the disease is common. It is given by mouth and requires two or three doses. It contains weakened rotavirus which could cause slight fever for 1-2 days. First dose should be given starting around six weeks of age.
Refer to your child specialist or pediatrician Don't worry your kid would be fine Hope this information helps
