Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Rivaroxaban 20 Advisable To Be Taken Along With Digoxin 125 And Carbidopa 250?
What is the likely effect on the immune system of the body with this daily cocktail of prescribed drugs and dosage levels :rivaroxaban 20 mg + mettorolol/ tartrate 20mg + Rasagiline /mesilate 1 mg + Digoxin 125 miscro grams + Carbidopa 250 mg ?. They have been prescribed to the one patient?
These medications, which are used to treat heart problems, blood clotting, and Parkinson disease, do not affect the immune system and so I would not expect the immune system to be weakened because of these drugs.
There are also no serious interactions between these medications, except that both metoprolol and digoxin can lower the heart rate, and so the patient should be monitered for this and if it gets too low, the medications may need to be adjusted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
