Is Olanzapine Effective In The Treatment Of Insomnia?
Does Olanzapine help with sleep? Will it cause unusual behavior and sense of humor after three or four days of not taking it? My nephew said he was prescribed the drug for anxiety and lack of sleep. After reading about this medication it does not appear that is what it s for. He was originally diagnosed with other things and we want to support him the right way. We just want to know if he is telling the truth or hiding it because he doesn t feel good about the diagnosis.

Olanzapine is an antipsychotic medication used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It is usually classed with the atypical antipsychotics, the newer generation of antipsychotics.
It is not a medication for anxiety andisorder lack of sleep.
I think that u should reconsult a psychiatrist for another medication.
