Hello dear,
First of all dont worry and be relaxed. I will provide you with my best possible advice. According to the symptoms you have described it seems that most probably your son is suffering from common cold and flu (viral Influenza). In most of the cases the disease recovers by itself within 5-7 days.
Antibiotics have found to have no significant role in such condition.
In such conditions medicines are given just to provide the symptomatic relief to the patient. If I were the treating doctor, on the basis of your given informations I would advice these
• Give him plenty of fluids to replenish the water and ion loss due to fever.
• Water, soup, fruit juice, and hot tea with lemon are all good choices.
• Advice him to take rest
• Give him any OTC analgesic and antipyretic tablet like ibuprofen or acetaminophen (crocin or combiflam) 1 tablet thrice daily for 3-4 days.
• Avoid antihistamines like cetrizine and others, They do not treat flu symptoms and may make nasal drainage thicker.
• Give him cough drops or plain, hard candy to help ease coughing.
Cobadex forte can be given
Most probably the symptoms will start subsiding soon.
Hope this will help you
Thank You Take Care

Regards
