Is Misoprostol Effective For Termination Of Pregnancy?

My Sac without any heartbeat was detected at around 7 weeks. Now at 8 weeks. When ultrasound showed same result, Dr.prescribed me misoprost-200 (cipla) to clear the sac. Dosage is: 4 tablets. 1 each two times in a day. Just wanted a second opinion if this dosage is fine as I have been reading terrible stuff across internet.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
The total recommended dose for induction of abortion in 1st trimester of pregnancy is 800 microgram. So your doctor has prescribed the correct dose of 800 microgram (4 tablets of 200 microgram = 2 X 200 = 800 microgram). This dose is absolutely fine and follow your doctor’s suggestion. Common side effects of misoprostol are diarrhea, dyspepsia, flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, rashes, dizziness, headache, increased uterine contractility, abnormal vaginal bleeding and rarely hypotension.
Thanks
