Is Memantine A Narcotic Pill?

My boyfriend gets oxycodone continually from the VA. I feel that they should cut him off and find other none narcotic means. I think he now took some of my Dad s Memantine pills because Dad is missing 10 since friday. Is Memantine a narcodic and what side affects can it give?

Memantine is a drug that it used to reduce symptoms of moderate to severe Alzheimer-type dementia, but it's not a narcotic drug.

Most common effects of Memantine are: dizziness, headache, confusion, constipation, coughing etc.
