My husband had a Tia last week. He is diabetic, takes metformin, glizide. He is in good physical condition and is 71 yrs old. He spent two days in the hospital and several tests were run.. They were ct scan, MRI, carotid artery scan, and echocardiogram. All came back negative. Only changes made when he was released was to increase baby Asa to 325 mg daily. Had a follow up appt today and the NP wanted to put him on lisinpril 2.5 mg daily. Questioning if this is necessary as his B/P has always been good and his hear rate is excellent. What do you think?
