Is HbA1c Value Of 8.2 A Cause For Concern?

Hi I have diabetis and my A1c is 8.2 I hve tried everything I take insulin humalin u 500 and metformin I m overweight but the more indiet I do not lose a pound.My doc says I should do the lap band can you please helpme I also have bi-polar and depressive manic I do not want the lap band?,

Hi it depends upon your dose and dose depend on your weight and how your body responds to insulin if u are very obese then he would have told you to do lap but if you are just overweight then correct insulin dose &metformin will decrease blood sugar & weight
