Is Duphaston Effective In Helping Conceive?

august 12th 2017 i had a misscarriage after that i did not get my period even once. also i am trying for a baby doctor recommend me to take duphaston for 5 days each day 2 times still there is no period. when to take a pregnancy test after finishing duphaston?

Thanks for thequery. I understand your concern.
Duphaston is a progesterone hormone prepararion.. that causes maturity ,thickness &vascularity of inner lining of uterus (endometrium)...this layer is essential for implantationof fertilized ovum (pregnancy)...Thus Duphaston can help in pregnancy when thehormone progesterone is deficient.
Large dose of the hormone might have been given to you for stimulating withdrawal bleeding.The bleeding usually appears after 8-10 days after stopping the pills of Duphastone.
Duphaston does not affect pregnancy test...(.Pregnancy test starts defining pregnancy after 8 days delay in periods or 2 weeks of conception.)
