Is 8 Mg Of Warfarin A High Dosage?

Hi I had a dvt last august I am on 8mg of warfarin for the last 3monthsi go regular to have my I n r done it s been 2.0 mt lowest was1.7.i went to have my I n r done today it was 3.7 so now I am on 7mg for a week and got to go back for bloods for my I n r. Is both inr and dosage of warfarin high.

hello n welcome. when inr gets greater than 3 plz check it thrice a week. and half the dose by 25 %. if inr is less than 5 and no bleeding is present omit a dose and resume warfarin when target range is achieved. kindly let me know ur complet history why u are using warfarin and for how long hv u been on it. plz also state what other medication u r on currently as warfarin has many drug interactions. dose of warfarin if hi or low depends mainly on whether u hv a target inr or not. thanx hope this helps
