Hi, I had irritation next my eye, and I had been to doc, he said, its herpes and prescribed doxycycline caps, which will avoid spreading of infection, and Herperax cream, which I feel its working
But still I can feel some irritation around my eyes, Want to know whether it will spread of stop around the patch .??

Herpes is a viral infection and the treatment is by antiviral drugs like herperax.
However doxycycline is an antibiotic and it is not useful in case of herpes infection. However doxycycline is helpful for treatment of blepharitis.
