Intermittent Cough And Fever, Severe Leg Muscle Pain And Fatigue

On and off deep chest cough and fever, severe leg muscle pains, some locking of left jaw, no energy whatsoever. I get a flu shot every year. I thought at first I had two separate problems : construction work related leg problems; and pollen caused chest cough. Now I don t know. Help!

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Cough and fever suggest respiratory tract infection. Leg pain could be muscular, however, there are other causes of leg pain also. I suggest you to consult a surgeon for clinical assessment and relevant investigations to assess the cause of leg pain.

Low energy can be due to anemia or low hemoglobin. Locking of jaw is muscular problem. All complaints need to be assessed individually to know the cause of these symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
