Injury To Wrist While Playing The Soccer. Not Able To Grip. Broken?

Hi, I got a wrist injury playing indoor soccer, and at first, where I got hit with the ball, it hyper extended my wrist. It hurt immediately, but the pain subsided for the most part, until a couple hours later. Now I can't grip anything with my hand and it hurts to flip my palm up. I also can't bend my wrist backwards at all. Would it swell.bruise immediately, if it's broken, or would it take a little while?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
If there is pain while gripping anything then a bone or a tendon injury is likely. You need to consult an orthopedician for an X-ray and a physical examination so that proper treatment can be started.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
