I feels like someone is giving it a gentle squeeze.

Throughout the day, I feel my heart palputate. I ve heard that this is ok but there are sometimes it feels like someone is giving it a gentle squeeze. Is this normal or would some attention be required ? Sometimes I feel a palputation, then feel a bit dizzy. I am 6 feet tall weight 95kg. So I am overweight . TIA!!

If these palpitations occur often enough, your cardiologist may recommend you wear a holter monitor for a while. This is similar to a 24 hour/day EKG. It will monitor for any abnormal rhythms (ventricular tachycardia, PVC's etc.) and store the occurrence when it happens. Your cardiologist can then review these events and discuss the best plan for you. People often have palpitations, but the fact your are symptomatic with them, is worrisome. Holter Monitor info:
