I HAVE A CHEST INFECTION FOR A FEW WEEKS
IVE HAD A CHEST INFECTION FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW SINUSITUS AND TONSILS HURTING Hi im a 39 year old male non smoker Ive had a chest infection originally a few weeks ago and the doc put me on a course of amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for a week! No joy so we tried again! still no joy. I have lost my sense of smell and only have 40/50% taste as its developed into sinusitis! now 5weeks on in total im still coughing up mucus (green) and cant taste or smell very well at all and now it appears that i am getting tonsillitis too!. I am on propanolol 40mg 2 times a day for anxiety attacks at the moment and im using sinex to clear my nose. Ive always had problems with nasal breathing even when i was very young i couldnt breathe properly thru one nostril and could thru another? Im taking a multivitamin to try and boost my immune system and i am eating normally and as yet have had no fever! .Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

hi check for a nasal polyp or nasal septal deviation with an ENT. Use an antihitaminic,antiinflammatory and a decongestant type of tablet for sinusitis taste and smell would return after weeks of normalisation

Dear the way you have explained and greenish colou of exudates shows bacterial infection. Excess use of antihistaminics also makes the exudates thick. As a rule in cough when there is expectoration use the medicines which help expectorate and clear the passage and when it is dry cough suppress it.
in your case have steam with euclyptus oil or but adding cap karvol to boling water. have sitopladi churan 500mg in one tea spoon of honey mix it and lick it and have hot water after it. Avoid cold thiings.Have sy. Crux 2 tsf tds kaph ketu ras with hot water and kanth sudharak to be sucked.
