Hurts To Push Calf, Knot In Ankle After Falling. Scheduled For A Surgery Soon. Check The Ankle, Calf For Blood Clots?

I fell about 2 & 1/2 months ago and bruised my calf, ankle and butt really bad. Since then the bruises have gone away, but I if I push on my calf or ankle it still really hurts and the ankle has a knot on it. Is this normal? I'm having surgery in a month and don't know if I should have my calf and ankle checked out first to check for blood clots.
What do you think?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The bruices could be due to the soft injuries, but there may be internal dislocations or hair line fractures,so the leg to be examined, and excluded the injuries.clots are not the factors, and they will present in a different way.
You have mentioned the surgery, but didn't mention what for. Of course there may be no relation to the pains of the leg, and the surgery, if it is different surgery.
