How To Treat Stomach Upset, Acid Reflux With History Of Breast Cancer?

I have been experiencing stomach upset and acid reflux which has progressively gotten worse over the last several months, and was worsened by a bout with a flu virus and a course of Z-pak. I have been on Evista for about 4 years, and was taking a baby aspirin at night per my doc's orders, to help prevent blood clots from the Evista. Evista was prescribed for osteoporosis and a history of breast cancer. I just turned 64 years of age. Thanks--Karen

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Medicines you take, can cause peptic ulcers or stomach inflammation. Your symptoms point that something is going on in your stomach. With such symptoms it is always necessary to rule out stomach cancer. Also Helicobacter Pylori infection needs to be verified, and if present antibiotics are necessary.

Please consult your doctor and have gastroscopy done. In a meanwhile please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, alcohol, coffee, chocolate.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
