How To Treat Redness And Itching Sensation In Ankle And Abdomen Caused Due To Bug Bite?

I have tiny bug bites on my ankle area and a few on abdomen, the rest of my body feels like it s being bitten by tiny fleas or something. Was cleaning in trees last few weekend, not sure if it s related. Sterilized bedding and checked for bedbugs (none). Husband not itching, put Frontline on dogs 3 weeks ago so they re good. Taking Benadryl for itching but would like to solve issue causing it! Looked up scabies, no clustering or blisters or redness, just tiny bite marks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a bug bite. I suggest using a steroid cream for local application. I also suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily to treat the itching.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
