How To Treat Pinched Nerve?

I have pain shooting down my left arm from a muscle in shoulder area. The pain permeates up to my neck and into my ear if I turn a certain way. I have limited mobility when I turn my head right or left. Slept funny two nights ago, but why does it feel like a nerve pain shooting down my left arm? What can I do to stretch the muscle or relieve the pinched nerve?

It could be otherwise. Pain of nerve originating from cervical spine vertebral column and radiating down to neck, ear, shoulder etc along the supply of nerve. Limited mobility of head also supports this idea.

First and foremost thing is to get cervical spine sport, hot water fomentation of neck area, muscle relaxant application on neck region and proper posture during sleep, low pillow etc. As it is diagnosed positively further by x Ray c.spine, traction may be advised by treating doctor.

Intervertebral disc syndrome of cervical region could also lead to IVD prolapse. Precaution is better. When pain subsides, physiotherapy is also done but not while pains.

Pain killers are no use except temporarily and should be avoided.

Hope it helps you.
