Hi,

It is common for young infants to have loose stools after feeds (physiological gastrocolic reflex). Most of the times this is normal, and need not be worried. This has nothing to do with mothers' diet. No need to stop breast milk and give cow milk- this will only worsen the situation. Just keep the area clean and dry; apply some emollients if any rash develops in the diaper area. Take her to doctor if she develops fever, stool becomes blood stained, or not feeding well.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
