How To Treat Painful Spasms In Left Ear?
i have very painful spasms in my left ear - it started about 4am yesterday and is now occurring every 5 -10 seconds and when I swallow. I am male 76 years old. I took some Ibuprofen 500mg which I use for back etc pain and it did remove the pain for a few hours. I ve now put in some wax removal fluid but it has not helped.

hello,thanks for your query, at 76years, ear pain could be due to impacted cerumen(wax) , otomycosis(fungal infection) , otitis externa (ear canal infection) or simple ear drum infection.kindly evaluate with an ent surgeon, mean time dont put water per ear during bath, tae same pain killer. hope i have answered your query. all the best. take care.
