How To Treat My Red And Swollen Foot With Fever?

My right foot is red and swollen and also have fever in foot. It feels like my foot and leg is about to explode. Pain is herrendous. When foot is not feverish it is ice cold.I am seeing a podiatrist tomorrow. I have had ultrasound of both legs and feet for blockages and flow of blood in arteries. They had me wearing comp hose but feet started swelling ove r hose and I took them off.

I do not think it is due to blockage of the arteries or veins, rather i believe it is due to infection. You have not mentioned if you are Diabetic as these type of foot infections is very common in them, If you have fever and foot is swollen then your foot specialist may asked you to get blood investigations and also recommend you to start antibiotics . If there is already abscess formation has taken place then he will have to take last option , and that is drainage of the pus.
