How To Treat Fever, sore Throat And Swollen Gums?

Hey there, iv e been sick for 4 days now, feels like the flu because of the elevated fever and sore body, and slightly sore throat. What came off as unusual was that in addition to those it seems i developed gum disease or some sort of swollen gums around my entire mouth since day 1, is this normal or should i be concerned?

Dear welcome to hcm and thanks for choosing us.

You have got flu with possible secondary bacterial infection which is leading to sore throat. Swollen gums is also indicative of infection only. Fever is a definite sign of infection. I advise my patients following with these symptoms
1 throat swab culture and sensitivity for antibiotics
2 start with penicillin group of antibiotic, van be changed after culture report
3 antihistamines and decongestants
4 warm saline water gargles
5 mask on face to prevent its spread to other family members
6 adequate rest

Since these are prescription medicines , visit an ENT expert or gp for prescription.

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write to hcm or me for follow up queries. Hit a thanks. I wish you good health.
