How To Treat Extreme Burning Sensation In Abdominal Area And Pain In Nipples?
I had a surgical abortion 2weeks ago with a 6 weeks pregnancy. Have been bleeding since then, accompanied by huge clots, and I stopped the bleeding yesterday. Which I suppose is normal, right? Problem is now I have an extreme burning sensation in and on my stomach. The Lower part of the stomach where there is supposedly to be a baby bump is also hard. Is anything wrong with me? Am scared it might be an infection or I may still be pregnant. My breasts are also tender and my nipples are painful
Hello dear Understand your concern In abortion by the surgical process, bleeding is less compare to medical abortion. But bleeding up to 2 week suggests some abnormal. You should consult the gynecologist and get the USG done to confirm the incomplete abortion/retain product. If it is there it should be treated by misoprostol or by D & C. It may be accompanied by infection that is diagnosed by swab test and treated by cefixime antibiotics. Brest pain is due to hormonal imbalance. High/low estrogen/progesterone, it may be due to retain product that continuous produce hormone. Take tablet ibuprufen, warm pad application on breast area and gentle massage of breast. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
