How To Treat Depressed Level Of MPV And Neutrophil Count With Li Fraumeni Syndrome?

Should I be concerned? My daughter s recent blood work shows her MPV and neutrophil count is low, but her lymphocyte, monocyte and eosinophil counts are high. The numbers are not way far off the mark, but are noted to be high and low in those categories. She has a genetic condition called Li Fraumeni Syndrome, which makes her highly susceptible to various types of cancer.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Low MPV suggests decreased volume of red blood cells (RBCs).
Low MPV is commonly seen in iron deficiency anemia.
However, to know the complete status, the hemoglobin levels and other RBC parameters like RBC count, MCH, MCHC and RDW need to be known.
Low neutrophil count is seen in infections.
However, again to know the complete picture other investigations like total leukocyte count and differential leukocyte count need to be known.
Li Fraumeni syndrome is a syndrome characterized by increased susceptibility to develop multiple cancers.
You need to stay vigilant if any alarming symptom develops.

Thanks and take care
