General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, I understand your concern. First of all you should consult a gynecologist to get vaginal examination done. Mouth of uterus ( cervix ) can be inspected through per speculum examination. this helps in diagnosing cervical erosion. At the same time vaginal swab can be taken & sent for histopathological/ microscopic test - so as to determine type of discharge & presence of infection. _ A PAP smear can be taken in case doctor suspects possibility of malignancy. * IT is just possible that there is no erosion & the discharge is a side effect of Minera ( irregular bleeding ) * infection is treated with suitable antibiotics ( as per swab culture test ) . 8 In case of pelvic infection- Minera is removed ( with avoidance of sexual contact till the thing heals ) * erosion is taken care of by drug treatment/.cryocauterization/ electro coagulation / cautery with laser Thanks.
