How To Treat Abdominal Cramps And Bloating?

My feces has been smelling strongly of ammonia for the last few days. Symptoms include cramping, bloating. Stool is light colored, but very ammonia like smell. I do have GERD and just got out of the hospital for carbon monoxide poisioning late Thurs. night.......although the ammonia smell has been present before. I have UCTD, and have had for years, with many gastro type involvements.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

CYou have some typical symptom of irratable bowl disease but coeliac or food allergies may be cause as well. You need more extensive work up. Hiatal hernia or gerd may definitely contribute as well and it should be treated with antiacid medicaions and diet. But exact cause should be established by gastroenterologic work up. till that try to change your dietary habits, it means: eat smaller meals but more frequently, avoid fried and spicy food, take menta tea, avoid alcohol and coffee, eat probiotics and milk products, boiled food and vegetables. Also, there are medications such as Flobian,Magnesium oxide or Loperamide which may relieve such symptoms and help you.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
